Following the duo’s mainline partnership, Yohji Yamamoto once again recruits xVessel for his Y’s sub-label. A genderless revision of the Los Angeles brand’s GOP LOW sneaker, three muted shoes are on hand for the special mid-summer release.
xVessel’s familiar layered midsole, deconstructed uppers and accessible Fitgo lacing system are repurposed with this Y’s partnership, imagining a trio of GOP LOW models in distinctive colorways. Olive, pale tan and black iterations of the sneaker sport otherwise identical raw-hemmed uppers (canvas for the olive and tan versions, leather for the black shoe) and rubber sole units, complete with special “Y’s × xVESSEL” text emblazoned on the toe to reinforce the design’s collaborative nature.
Yohji Yamamoto’s web store will soon launch the exclusive xVESSEL sneakers alongside the brand’s Japanese stockists.
Most recently, Yamamoto joined adidas for another YY Exclusive apparel and sneaker collaboration.
